How to Clean Your Ears?

Ear wax is not actually dirt but a protection. Its acidic nature prevents the fungal and bacterial growth in the moist ear canal. If you want to clean the outer ears do it with a washcloth. It is a self cleaning system in which the ear wax slowly comes near the opening of the canal. With the help of washcloth and finger gently wash the opening of the ear.

Few people get excess amount of wax in their ear canal and it gets clogged. For such people it is advisable to consult a physician for the physicians use jets of carefully controlled water to flush the ear canal and remove the bunged ear wax. Some ear specialists use a magnifying scope to see through and a small instrument to take out ear wax. Many people make use of cotton tip applicators (cotton swab) thinking that the ear wax will stick to the cotton and come out. This wrong notion can sometime create problem for many as the cotton wax pushes the wax deep into the ear canal, whereas some make use of sharp and hard things like a hairgrip which can actually damage the ear drum.

Wax dissolving kits are also available which are easy to use and safe. But people with the history of ear infection or any other ear related problems like hole in the ear drum must not use these kits. For them consulting the physician is the best option. But for others it is absolutely safe. The kit has a rubber bulb syringe, wax dissolving drops along with the how- to- use instructions. The kits are available at any pharmacy shop and can be used effectively.
